In this painting, we can see a group of travelers is crossing the river from the Shimada station to the direction of the Kanaya station, and the first group has already reached the sandbank.

After passing the sandbank, the Oi River flows again.

A procession of daimyo (feudal lords) seems to be crossing the river, and the travelers follow them.
